EVERYBODY PLEASE READ.
The girl on the right is named Chelsea. She’s been missing for a little over a week (as of 1/19/11). I know it’s not a very good picture, but could we just reblog the hell out of this and try to help find her? She went missing in the New Baltimore, MI area. Even if you don’t live anywhere near there, please reblog it. It could honestly save a life. There’s an amber alert out for her, and her family is doing everything they can to help find her. Please, PLEASE reblog. Just please. For Chelsea.

PSA of the Day: AT&T recently released this powerful, emotive PSA on the subject of texting while driving. It features a compilation of stories from people whose lives have been altered as a result of a single text typed while operating a motor vehicle. It can be difficult to watch at times, but the message is absolutely critical: It can wait.

[@twitter.]

this brought me to tears. i cant even imagine the pain these people feel from such a stupid, pointless text.

this is life changing.

EVERYONE needs to see this. You don’t know the risk you put yourself or others in when you do that. NOTHING is more important that life, and to risk it over something so stupid, so foolish is horrible. Losing anyone to a car accident for any reason is tragic enough, knowing the reason could have been avoided is a whole other level and world. Be safe, not stupid. Your text can wait, your life cannot.

I cannot even stress how much I agree with all this. A simple text is just not worth it. Your life will certainly not end if you don’t send someone a text right away, but it very well could if you choose to text and drive. If the text is that important, wait until a stop light, or pull over. Don’t be stupid. If you don’t have the opportunity to stop, DO NOT text. I lose respect for people that text and drive, especially when I’m in the passenger seat. To me, that says that the person driving doesn’t care enough about their life or mine to stop texting.
